This is a publication, not a clinic. We do not ask you for health information and we have no way to receive it.

What we collect

• Standard server logs — the pages requested, the time, a truncated IP address and the browser string. Used to keep the site running.
• Anonymous, aggregate traffic measurement so we know which articles are read. No profile is built about you.
• If you email us, the contents of your email and your address, kept only as long as needed to reply.

What we do not collect

• Health information. There is no intake form on this site.
• Names, addresses or payment details. We sell nothing.
• Anything we would sell to a data broker.

Outbound links

Links to providers carry tracking parameters so the company can tell that the visit came from this site — that is how our affiliate arrangement is measured. They identify the article, not you. Once you land on another company’s website, their privacy policy applies, not ours. Telehealth intake forms often carry far more tracking than this site does, which is worth knowing before you fill one in.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run retargeting pixels.
